Description
Tag Team Quest 32X is a ROM hack of Knuckles in Sonic 2 ported over to the Sega 32X made by Jdpense, which aims to eventually be a redesign of the game with new bosses and a rebuilt tag team gimmick from Sonic Advance 3. The playable characters currently are Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. In addition to the tag team gimmick, there are seven new bosses for each first act of the zones for more depth and to show off the Sega 32X's sprite rendering abilities. Quality of life improvements are included as well, such as act transitions, bug fixes, and much more!
Note: I need to clarify, I created the Advance 3 Tag Team mechanics and new moves from scratch, they were not ported over. There is also no AI assistance whatsoever, everything in this entry is human made.

I tested it on an actual 32X; playing Sonic 2 on it is an appealing experience, though this hack doesn't offer much incentive—still, I found it fun.
its a pretty fun hack but I think the partner system isnt as reliable as advance 3, often when I find an opportunity to use my partner ability , the game fails to send the cpu in time or I have to slowly wait for them to respawn. Plus slopes often place the cpu out of my hands so I have to wait for them to get back
I like the new bosses! Out of the ones I played my favorite was the Chemical Plant one. I did encounter a but in Casino Night where sonic was stuck rolling in the new act 1 boss and then after beating it I couldn't jump over the spring because the act transition kept sonic rolling. I know it's a bug in the original sonic 2 as well but other than that I also like the Sonic Advance partner system.
It's really interesting to see Sonic Advance 3 gimmick but on Sonic 2, and i like how some parts were modified to use tag team actions. However, i felt that the mini bosses and character selection screen are like a powerpoint presentation, but otherwise, it's understable.
Played the hack and it was actually cool, I really like act 1/new bosses, I also like these gimmicks from Sonic Advance (cuz the spriters are cool btw :V), but I dont like some of them since their animations just move like one of those Sonic.EXE (slop) fangames...

After seeing this ROM hack, this one is the first ROM hack I see with MS-DOS graphics format i guess? Or SVP/Bitmap.
